Your crews need to be healthy and safe at all times, especially nowadays. For many shipowners this is of paramount importance. This means that the quality of Drinking water and Fresh water used for washing, cleaning and cooking has to be assured. Too often, to meet the needs and preferences of all crews, vessels are supplied with bottled water which is not economic. 
We have developed a partnership with Hatenboer-Water B.V., the globally renowned Drinking water experts from Rotterdam. Next to having supplied over 5000+ robust desalination installations worldwide to many shipowners in the marine industry, their team of experts also advises on how your crews can be sure their water remains safe.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has set its Guidelines for Drinking-Water QualityThese define standards for Microbiological, Chemical and Physical aspects of safe Drinking water. And specifically or shipboard drinking water, the Guide to Ship Sanitation sets requirements in addition to Flag state regulations.  

Together  with Hatenboer-Water we have now created a single test-standard that meets these needs 100%. And it gives early indications of possible problems with the potable water system on board. This test-standard includes: 

  • Microbiological analyses - including residual E.Coli, Enterococci or other bacteria 
  • Chemical analyses - testing for the presence of chemicals like Copper and Iron, as well as Hardness and the presence Free Chlorine, Nitrates and other elements.
